Repairs needed; public hearings scheduled

Left: Laurin Middle School teacher Luke LeCount at rain-collector in library. Center: Laurin custodian Geraldine Schut at new supports for water-logged walkway soffits. Right: Hose-and-bucket arrangement at one of many Yacolt Primary School leaks.

The school district wants to use money left over from the 2005 voter-approved bond measure to fix things, including leaking roofs, rotting walkway overhangs, crumbling parking lots, aging boilers and septic systems and failing HVAC units (heating, ventilation and air conditioning). Public input is welcome at hearings. Click "read more" for more photos and details.
